Poland’s New President Promises Tax Reform

In a surprise result, Poland has elected as President Andrzej Duda, who has made it clear

That he intends to push for tax reforms.

 

During the election campaign, Duda said he would place emphasis on improving taxes for

Workers, He has stated that he wishes to impose new taxes on foreign banks and supermarkets

He has also promised to review proposed pension reforms, which would extend working years.

And increase the personal tax-free allowance.

 

As president, Duda will need the support of lawmakers to pass any changes to tax legislation.
